Welcome to my website. Are people animals? I look on the web, but am not satisfied with the answers. After two years of experimenting with people and animals, I've started to get interested in what it is that actually separates the two. The project started with how people relate to each other and more or less specific roles and masks that people wear. I disguised them with animal masks. Now I paint beings with characteristics and even bodies sometimes from both people and animals. The paintings in the gallery represent scenes from real life, situations where animal life and human life seem to be the same. I am working with something which seems to get harder and harder to find, the division between human and animal. - Jonas Böttern
